Environmental Protection | Advocating for Zero Energy
January 17th, 2026
Sustainable Golden issued a statement to the Public Utilities Commission as parrt of the January 20th hearing on Xcel's request to expand its natural gas supply lines to 25,000 new homes in Aurora. If granted, this request would increase costs to Xcel’s ratepayers by $23 million and move Xcel further away from its own commitment to decarbonize its natural gas service.
